Rudy, Sorry for the quality of the images. They are from a very old photo shoot, and I will see if I can find some better ones. And Richie is on target as regards the Iranian cavalry saber. A copy of the Imperial era Russian cavalry sword (but with a steel scabbard instead) they were made after WWII. Iran having set up shop to make short Mauser carbines (a close copy of a Czech model). Bayonets for same, and of course the saber. With a lot of them never or only lightly used before being exported as surplus. Regards, to All, FP
Not the image I was thinking of, but here is a shot from the backside next to its contemporary German Army cavalry saber. Which is a TR (era) rework depot marked overhaul of the n/A Model 1856 Prussian Artilleriesäbel. FP
Thanks for all the information on these items FP. Greatly appreciated.
Do you collect these?

hello Rudy
I'm from Lithuania. would like to ask, maybe you want to sell your item?
regards,
That is always an option but I assume you have read the posts above with most leaning to it being a fantasy piece?
My initial investment plus shipping to Lithuania ... would that be worth it to you?
Food for thought,
Rudy

Hello saulius,
Not sure what you mean by "changing to other things". I already collect dust bunnys in my little office here.
I don't think there is any reason to leave this Forum and go e-mail since private messages work great. You can also post pictures or make use of our 'classifieds' should you be looking to sell or aqauire a particular item.
