Well it certainly has an aged patina, looks to be German, style suggests First World War to 1920's era. The grooves on the hand grip look like a non factory addition, perhaps field addition. Blades for these often double edged but single edge possible. Are there any maker marks?

Thanks for the help, if its not WW2 era i will pass on it. However ive asked if there are any maker marks on the blade. I will let you know when the seller replies. Cheers
