I'm not sure, but I think that is WW1 boot knife, produced by Emil Voos.

Hi Tony welcome to the forum,,, You have salty looking knife and the maker is by Aesculap ( see photo below ) Im not sure what "1K' is on the back of the grip tang. One of our members can comment on that. nice knife Regards Larry

As stated above, this looks to be a WW1 design.
These weapons are sometimes found with unit markings.
"1K" could possibly represent 1 Kompagnie.
WW1 very nice boot dagger and yes the 1 K is a unit mark
