Re: Any Idea's on Polizei Eagle.
Is it from a dagger, sword or bayonet handle?
Regards,
Jerry

Re: Any Idea's on Polizei Eagle.
I seem to remember that these were used on a handcuff pouch (but I`ve been wrong before)...Pete.

Re: Any Idea's on Polizei Eagle.
I'm not sure. What I ordered was not what I recieved.
This is what I ordered.Polizei bayo eagle.
The convex shape suggest's an edged weapon but the pins don't appear right for that application.I have no idea really what it is.
The Polizei edged weapon eagles i've seen are oxidised alloy grey not copper.

Re: Any Idea's on Polizei Eagle.
Hi Dave, copper eagles are often found on Police swords. The plating has just worn off.
Good original item.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Any Idea's on Polizei Eagle.
That's certainly what it is.Thanks Ade.
The close up of the eagle show's the laminated appearence I was attempting to discribe.
Took a chance on the only bayo eagle I could find with the retired Col. Sanders look-a-like who doesn't sell chicken. At least it's an original piece.
Again thanks for all your help with thing's Ade,I appreciate it greatly.
All the best mate

Re: Any Idea's on Polizei Eagle.
The term for this type of laminated construction is known as "Cupal".
Cheers, Ade.
