I do not know that I would write it off as a fake quite yet with out at least considering a few of the construction details such as the chain,eagle Feldgendarmerie emblem and or wool felt backing, .
If it were mine and or I was considering purchasing I would like to know a few more details first I would wait for a few other opinions.

I have several concerns with this one but I am no expert. The "buttons" seem to be elevated some from the plate. The eagle's head seems to be a little high as well but may be the photo angle. That's my two cents. As stated above, I would wait for others to chime in. I do not own an Assmann example.

The gorget in the op is different than the one posted in the next one. Which one are you asking opinions on? the last one? If so, it does look a bit fresh,imo.
The Gorget in Post#1 is a definite fake. The prongs on the reverse are of a type never found on originals (with the raised ridge down the centre and with the centre prong at an angle instead of vertical) and certainly never by Assmann. Also the obverse features do not match original Assmann pieces.
The other Gorget is also a fake where they appear to have used the style of breast eagle utilised on the white summer tunic , something often found on copies.
(Should really be in the Heer, Luftwaffe & Kriegsmarine section as these are nothing to do with the Polizei)
