    Default Gorget....confirm authenticity

Hello, I am new here and have this Gorget.
From my research so far it seems authentic, but I thought you guys would be able to help confim it.

The backing is wool, there is a tiny M on the back of one of the clasps, but it is hard to see in the pic.

Oh yeah on the gorget....fantastic its nice too see a good piece
weve had a few pieces on the forum that are missing some of the felt backing ....and some that are a blatant fake ...I really like your piece..Shella!!!

I too like it. My example does not have the felt - it's the type with the "cardboard" backing....but I yours looks as it should!

Hi guys and thank you for your time! I do appreciate it!
Happy to hear that you think it is authentic and that you like it.

I am not a collector so I hope you do not mind helping me a bit more with one more question...

What is the ball park retail value of a piece like this ?

Someone I know is interested in it and I want to ask an amount that is a fair deal for both of us. They buy and sell Militaria. So I imagine they would want to re-sell it. I hope talking value is not prohibited here and my apologies in advance if I am out of line for asking.
