Default HELP! Police Veterinarian Sleeve Eagle?

I have a trick question that has stumped almost everyone I have asked. What kind (color) of sleeve eagle would a Police Veterinarian NCO wear?

I like to put together "sets" of insignia with collar tabs, shoulder boards, and a sleeve eagle, but no one can tell me what a Veterinarian would wear. The collar tabs and shoulder boards are black with a blue base color. But I have never seen a black on police green sleeve eagle. Would they just wear the eagle of the branch they were working for? Such as Schutzpolizei (green) or Gendarmerie (orange)?

If anyone could shed light on the subject, or has a picture of a Police Veterinarian NCO that would be fantastic! I know many of the Veterinarians were officers, so the NCO eagle would be obscure indeed.

I am sure that others are way better qualified to answer the details of the Police veterinarian branch's insignia, but I can help you at least partially:

The veterinarian branch's secondary branch color of black was only used on the collar patches and later the shoulder boards, but definitely not on the sleeve eagles.

Black embroidered police sleeve eagles did exist, however, but they had nothing to do with the veterinarian service whatsoever: They were used on the TENO's late-war police-style uniforms.

That is all correct and I agree. But do you think that they would then just wear the eagle of the branch they were assigned to?

This is where it gets a bit complicated and where hopefully one of the real police experts (which I do not claim to be) should step in. I will try to answer the question as best as I can and welcome any corrections:

The actual fully-qualified veterinarians were classified as officer-ranked police officials or, after April 1941, as police officers. The most junior rank of Unterveterinär was classified as an NCO-ranked officer candidate, but - just like the rest of them - would have been authorized the officer-grade sleeve eagle. So all veterinarians proper wore silver or (in the case of the most senior rank) gold embroidered sleeve eagles. So far, so good.

However, according to "Deutsche Polizei-Uniformen 1936-1945" by Dieter Deuster, the Veterinarian Service (Veterinärdienst) also included the Beschlagdienst der Schutzpolizei des Reiches, i.e. the Farrier Service of the National Protection Police. Those farriers would have been NCOs and, belonging to the Schutzpolizei , would have worn green embroidered sleeve eagles.

Now, qualified farriers also served with other branches of the Police, for example the Gendarmerie. Whether they would have been categorized as veterinarian specialists/branch members and wore any distinctive insignia - apart from the "horseshoe" sleeve badge, I cannot answer with certainty.
