this one i would say is more pink that the "usual" red ones. anyone who can tell me why some are pink and some are red?

The embroidery on Feuerwehr [Fire Brigade] and Feuerschutzpolizei [Fire Protection Police] sleeve eagles should always be carmine.

(Some minor variations in the exact shade of the color are possible due to different manufacturers, different batches of dyes, fading etc.)

Dark red eagles are for the Gemeindepolizei [Municipal Police], bright red ones for the Verkehrspolizei [Traffic Police].
