Hi, I can confirm that the paint on the Feldgendarmerie gorgets will still glow 65 plus years on. I have one in my collection. Once the light is turned out it glows!

Hi Ewan, I still have a VERY long shopping list

I have just tried to take a photo of the gorget in the dark to no avail. While it shows up great to the naked eye, my camera is not up to the job of catching the image. It would need a long exposure which I cannot do on a digital camera.

Hey....no worries!
I too have tried to take some pics of my feldgendarmerie gorget in the dark ... but to no avail. Camera just won't focus....but Ade is right...they still glow!!

I got the pic of mine glowing! Pays to have a wife who's a photographer! I just used my trusty point-and-shoot but set the flash to 'off' so it automatically went to a long exposure setting (about 1 second from memory)
