Polizei tunic

Hi everyone,

I picked this up really cheap today. I believe it is a police tunic, however it has been picked clean. Only a breast eagle and Eastern Front medal remain. The tunic has been repaired many times, and it has definitely been put through its paces.

The breast eagle has no place on this tunic. I strongly believe it is fake.

In fact I think the tunic is West German in origin.

Oh well, no worries. It wasn't expensive so I'll chalk it up as a learning experience. The tunic is quite a deeper shade of green in person, for what it's worth.

I have to agree with Ade. The sleeves should just have small black stripes. These appear to be black and green?

What size is it? A reenactor could probably use it.

I couldn't find any markings that would indicate a size, but it is on the larger size(it fit me

). I'm going to keep it, though, as I don't have much in terms of cloth items and it looks sharp. Down the road I'm bound to come across some Bundeswehr pieces that will display nicely on it.
