SS Polizei membership breast badge

I just received this nice quality SS Police membership badge. This badge was authorized in January of 1937 to be worn on the Police uniform by all Police who had once been members of the Allgemeine - SS. It is constructed of silver-aluminum thread on a police green wool and black paper backing. The badge was worn below the left breast pocket, on the left side. This is another one of those items that surprised me when it arrived as I thought it would be larger. I took a photo of the SS runes badge next to a Polizei Horsemanship proficiency arm badge to demonstrate the similarities in color and material. I love this this piece because it checks the boxes for two areas of my collection Polizei and SS insignia

Thank you. It’s a Polizei 8 year service medal. The Bakelite soldier badge is whw placed on top for visual effect.
