just picked this up together with some other original badges...no idea what it is except that it looks similar to police eagles...can anyone please identify for me ...thanks Steve

I cannot comment on originality, but it's a sleeve eagle for the Marinewerftpolizei [Naval Shipyard Police].

Sorry; I don't collect police items (or any cloth insignia, for that matter) and cannot make a qualified comment on that.

(Having said that, they are certainly much rarer than, say, Gendarmerie or Schupo eagles.)
