Reichsbahn Adler-Railway Eagle APAG 24"

Article about: From an old collection. Any thoughts? Is this an original or one of the 1970's repros? And if authentic, weren't these smaller eagles used on Trolley Cars?

To me it is not original . Looks like someone drilled and taped the eagle and put in studs . Spray a little black paint around each one and you have threaded studs ( just like originals ) . The front is to rough for a good Third Reich eagle if you ask me . Not a trolly eagle .

I agree IMHO it is a poorly done sand re-cast due to the casting flaws to the obverse and the soft details of the reverse. Someone tapped (threaded ) the mounting studs which was a nice touch but if you compare it to the apag eagles in Mr.Saris Reichbahn Eagles book you can see the problem with this one.

Agree also. Rough poorly defined detail in this casting, no sharp details around the claws and elsewhere.
