Anyone who has seen my work in the scale modelling forum will realize that I like detail in miniature.
One of my hobbies is creating miniatures of many different items, mostly edged weapons. I build them from scratch using scraps that I find, buy, are given to me or hoard. Here are a couple of examples. They are made just like the real thing, from damascus steel, brass, blued steel and real deer antler.

Here is one that was completed recently for a customer in Illinois. It is made from tool steel, fully heat treated, brass, African blackwood handle, and is 3 inches(<8cm) long. The sheath is made from Swiss pear wood, with leather wrap and hand made brass fittings.

Here is another. It is made from O1 tool steel, full heat treated and parkerized. About 30 stacked leather washers on the handle, and assembled and pinned together properly.
