Thanks Adrian. I can kind of answer My own question now. It has now re opened and I can tell You it is very good and worth visiting (I went last week). There is a strong smell of fresh paint and new things have been added.I cant say too much because it will ruin it for people but let Me just say You wont be disapointed!!!
Normandy is amazing, you will enjoy it as you have double the time that I had.
I also went to Sainte-mere-Eglise to see the church with the paratrooper. Also somewhere East of that there is a German U-boat on display, but missed it.
Edit: Looks like you must have done the trip by now, how was it?
