I don't mean to get political here ( one of our forum's NO-NOs ) but as long as China wants it at the rate it does, our money hungry mining corporations will continue to extract it and ship it there ( 70% of what is dug up gets shipped OS )

Actually I think our 'money hungry mining corporations' are mostly majority foreign owned so why should they care? Rip the coal out of the ground, sell it for the highest price you can get, avoid paying taxes, leave a big mess, stuff the environment and increase shareholder dividends. Isn't that how it works?
