American Diggers , fake TV

I don't know if you get this pile of crap in Europe , but we do in Canada . Anyhow it about a company of medal detecting diggers who share the "profits" with the land owners . It run by some ex wrestler so it's very high brow . Anyhow they go to dig a POW camp in the US . They find a Italian tinny , a LW hat eagle , an Africa corp souvenir ring and a lunch box and sell it for several thousand dollars ! I almost threw up , no wonder people want a ton of money for any TR item . And for the helmet collectors out there , this wrestler also authenticated a German chicken wirer helmet for the dealer he sold this crap too , by the way it was good and worth 7000 $ ! If you need a laugh it's worth a watch but try not to make yourself sick .

Seen it. Dumb. That's about all I can say. We are being bombarded with these kinda of shows. I love to see old and antique items, especially wartime items, as much as the next guy, but I don't need all these shows.

There was a show on in the UK recently called Four Rooms, people bring their exotic stuff to four dealers to sell. It was pretty good and there were some interesting items on including a huge Hitler bronze head. It's worth watching if you can find it anywhere online.

There used to be good TV , Antique Roadshow both the UK and US version . But this scripted crap makes me mad .

Lets face it, there is very little that is real in reality TV. It is manufactured for profit and sure isn't NOVA of National Geographic.

I guess you can't blame someone for trying make a living, but most of these shows should be viewed as parodies, if at all.

Folks watch these shows and get the impression that their tinnie is worth big bucks, lol...and convinces them that they're experts after watching just a few shows, lol...
