Another collection website

Hi, i have been making a new website, this time, a completely one dedicated to headgear.
Using my collection pieces and comparative period photos, i wish to create a wonderful experience to the visitors.
In time it will have a direct translation for all the articles, so please be patient.

Hi there, as a former student of webdesign I want to point out a few things that makes this site not really pleasant to watch.
First of all I want to say that you have a very nice collection!
Here are some points on how you could improve your website:

-Background image: The background image that you have chosen makes it very hard to read the text and also makes the site look really cluttered.
You can easily avoid this, you can change the background to a simple color or gradient but this would make the site look quite boring.
The best thing you could do imo is to split your brackground, a solid color for the main content or a transparent darkening.
I'll explain with a picture:

This will make your website far more readable.

-One thing that you could also do is consider changing the fonts, You should only use one or two different fonts in a website this will again make it easier to read.
Try using arial.

Still trying several different backgrounds and colours.
