Anybody from Sweden ? m39 tunic button / collar tabs needed !
Ok, here is the story, I decided to get Swedish m39 tunic to use to display my German medals (pockets only). Once I received a brand new m39/58 tunic, I decided to do a display of the tunic and m26 helmet I have. So my dilemma is that I need to find buttons and collar tabs (infantry) along with a belt. I searched online, but didn't find anything. Anybody in Sweden willing to help ? Thanks !

Here's your Infantry collar tabs: www.militarlagret.se (They do ship internationally, send them a mail and they will help you)
You need to remove the back pockets, and re-stitch the part underneath the arms. The cotton placed there is post war.
Thirdly you need to re-open the back slit in the jacket (you should be able to see where it has been sewn shut)
The last thing you need to do, is to make two shoulder boards of the excess material from the two back pockets you removed in step 1.

Yeah, I got it cheap and it was to be used for something else, but now I decided to keep it original.
Thanks for all your help. Pocket removal and rear seam opening seem easy, but shoulder boards will be tricky.

Yes, the shoulder boards are a real pain in the a**, but take your time with them.
The main concern is, that you can't afford to make an error, since all the fabric you've got is the fabric left over from the two rear pockets.
One more thing. There is two different sizes on the buttons. The smaller buttons are used for the shoulder boards and the breast pockets.
I think you are able to see them on the picture I posted earlier.
All buttons are grey aluminium buttons with three crowns on them.
Beware of grey post war plastic buttons! They look similar, and it is only when you are holding them in your hand, that you are able to tell them apart.
