Anyone else watching Hunting Hitler ?
Article about: There is a new show on the History Channel in Canada called Hunting Hitler , its a interesting premiss . Its asks how Hitler would have or could have escaped Berlin in 1945 . They kinda jump

I don't believe he escaped either , but the show does show places that seem to have been built to hide Nazis . Some of the places in South America are the strangely isolated and hidden . With all the other mindless dribble on TV this isn't as bad as storage locker fights .

Whether Hitler made it out or not IMO is immaterial for what the show is offering. I've watched all the episodes, and have found it incredibly enlightening how much of a network the Nazi's had going in South America. These guys do jump to some conclusions to keep the hunt going, but we are getting to also see just how far the NSDAP influence spread and how immense their reach and infrastructure was.
We know some of these guys escaped to South America, like Mengele, and the show is painting a picture of how successful they could be in "hiding" down there. They weren't living in shanty town, that's for sure. They had business ventures and seemed to live well. I was aware of the presence of Germans in South America after the war, but had no idea how deep that particular rabbit hole went.

I watched 5 minutes of an episode tonight. Turned it off because I needed to find more hidden collectibles on Call of Duty Black Ops 3 before my son took over the controller
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I actually enjoy the series. Like a previous post says it amazes me at how far reaching the nazi party was. Watched this evenings episode while stripping my m95 steyr mannlicher bolt assembly down for a nice oil bath. Very relaxing..

I'm also enjoying this. Like I had mentioned in my last post on this subject. The W.E.B. Griffin "The Honor Series" books, It is semi fictional character is a non fictional subject. The SS using KC gold and money they got from ransoming Jewish families and looking for spots for Hitler and other high ranking members to hide by using submarines to smuggle in and putting them in German communities/estates in Argentina post WW2. Look up Juan Peron who became El Presidenta of Argentina and a major supporter of the Socialist German government. After reading the series, I just had to research it and found it very interesting.

Not very fond of the show, kind of pointless, except finding swastikas on graves in Argentina or Brazil.
Warm Regards,
