    This day marks when Hitler committed suicide..and the end of the National Socialist Idea. Shortly there after Japan surrenders.

    This thread is for World Newspaper headlines. Starting from April 30 1945..and there after. Those who have newspapers from that time....please post photos of the headlines..with the date....but to make it more interesting.....please post Headline news of the war ending...if the healines are from another country stating that the war is over. We have seen most headlines in English..but lets see the Newspapers from that time period from the rest of the World.
    I will start this thread of with my headline from May 7th 1945. Post them if you got them..starting from April 30 1945. Regards Larry

    Well Larry, never fear ..... this is NOT going to be an orphan thread matey - here are a few from Australia.

    The courier mail and Telegraph from Brisbane - pretty flimsy now and it took me a few days to dig them up but here you go.

    Dated 29th April, with rumours already spreading that Hitler was dead, though obviously not true until the following day. The end is nigh!

    These are fantastic newspapers gents, what a great idea for a thread Larry! Wish I had one to show, I've looked for a few years for a local paper bearing similar headlines to these but thus far haven't found one. I'll get one eventually, meantime thanks for showing your papers boys, they're great!
