(I assure you this is not photoshopped or anything: I personally photographed that moth in my garden a few years back!)
That's a Lime Hawk Moth, there'll be dozens of those around here by me in the next few weeks as they start metamorphising around mid May early June.

    Regards, Ned.

I knew someone would be able to ID it!

They can't be too common where I live, as I honestly don't think I ever saw one of those before or since.

(Then again, maybe they are just too stealthy for my eyes...)

Haha! Not that lucky sorry ned I cant find any pictures of nurses hiding. My art of camouflage is just to normally pop myself in a wheelchair and wait in the entrance until the end of my shift

Cmon John, dont you live near Detroit?
    Doug,
I'm about 750 miles away from Detroit. All things considered, I'd much rather go to Afghanistan or even North Korea.

    John

Speaking of camouflage, I found this fellow along with a salamander when opening the pool this afternoon.

    Genus - "Toadus Afrikakorpus".....

Perhaps, but he was most certainly still kicking' this afternoon. A pretty cool little shit that I can honestly say, I've not found or observed at the old homestead before.
