Should not be controversial, it should of been in place a long time ago....a long time coming, other than the Runnymead memorial, it somewhere else for me to remember my Grandfather ( Bomber Command 1939-1944). If it was not for those "bleeding heart liberals" amongst us they would of been honoured from the end of WW2....the only shameful act from a otherwise glorious WW2 leader (Churchill).
    Prost ! Steve.

just watched who betrayed bomber command, now im really angry, the loss, the sacrifice, taking the war to germany, and all because of dresden being so late in the war and goebbels propaganda were betrayed by churchill in his end of war speech, they fought through the entire 6 years of war including 21 V.C'S,the industrial cities like hamburg and cologne, even albert speer admitted germany was on its knee's,the french port bombings during the Battle of britain, and of course the famous 617 squadron, who flew into legendary folk law, amidst all this achievement they were still shunned and never said thankyou, well from me to everyone who flew in bomber command thankyou for the sacrifice you made, dave.
