    Default British reference books

I notice we have had a few threads on reference books and most are focused on German items so here are some on British militaria from my collection. Some I have had a long time though a few are more recent pick ups, notable Cole's Heraldry in war, Taylor's special forces insignia and Davis's British army uniforms and insignia, with the latter two arriving yesterday and today.

Please share any other good books if you know of them.

Very good idea for a thread - British equipment always seems to be overshadowed by Third Reich gear.

I've found the following two books quite helpful in identifying items ; -

( Apologies for the rushed snapshots.... )

I got a couple of new books for Christmas , a pretty good overview on uniforms and equipment . The Axis book has a few mistakes , and a couple of fakes IE an SS marked Para Helmet ! Also an old book 1983 World Army Badges & Insignia , a great resource only line drawings but lots of information , and a large pre-war Polish section .
    Cheers Chris
