I have for a couple of years tried to make a comprehensive guide to Danish Webbing equipment during the first 3-4 decades of the Cold War. (From 1955-1975)
Originally intended for elsewhere, I though I might put it up here too, for the enjoyment of this most wonderful forum.
I began work on this guide a couple of years ago, and it is on its 4th version at the moment, and still expanding. It is a work in progress, but I have amassed a good deal of knowledge about the world of webbing. Especially odd pieces of webbing.

Now you might be thinking that I have lost my marbles, but just bear with me for a moment

I have collected British and Danish equipment for more than 12 years now, and have met numerous people that have tried to fool me into buying Danish webbing as: "WW2 SAS webbing", or "specialist webbing" or "very rare, a MUST buy WW2 webbing", when it in reality were only a bog standard, cheap and plentiful piece of Danish webbing.

The guide is now online instead - in a more partitioned version.
Hopefully the last photos will be uploaded soon!

EDIT: As I have noticed some of my photos have turned up elsewhere, and because I was so ignorant to post them without proper watermarks, I have since removed them.

They are to found at my website instead - with proper text and historical introduction.

    Thank you.
I have worked on this, as I wrote, for a couple of years.
But what good is all that work, if you can't share it with anyone.

Hopefully it will save someone a bit of money one day.

    No problem!

What you describe is exactly one of the reasons why I put it here in the first place.
I've encountered many vendors (especially on fleebay) that have tried directly or indirectly to fool people into believing they were buying something really rare or "special" from WWII.

The webbing is collectable in its own right, but most of it is not rare (yet) and very affordable.

All "danish" M/45-50 webbing equipment were made by M.E.Co, in the UK on contract.
We did not begin production of our own before the late 1950's - early 1960s. And even then, I suspect some of the webbing bits were made in the UK.

The "44" pattern cover, canteen and cup are all beyond doubt Danish.

But again, is you scroll down to page 11 and 12 in my pdf.
