    Hey i guys i want to start a thread on family items. I saw that a lot of people have inherited there families Uniforms/Medals/and misc. Post your items! Even if its the smallest item still post it because a lot of these are the most treasured items in a collectors collection.

    I posted a few pics a while back of a Helmet my Grandfather brought home from Germany for my dad. They weren't the best quality but there around here somewhere. Glad to see such a thread. Their are tons of items like that out there. !!!

    I am 50% Italian, 25% German, and 25% Russian.

    This compass belonged to my Russian grandfather... I know next to nothing about his military service in the Red Army. Only that he was injured (lost some fingers) and captured. The Germans then employed him as a medical orderly. I also know that he was from Rostov.

    Ive got a few pics on the forum of various family items, a couple of photos, ad some personal effects including my late grandfathers dog tags, and my wifes great grandfathers WWI medals
