Default This week ends finds by Hamburg

A mixed bag as usual! Went to one of those giant fleemarkets near Hamburg. It was very hot and very big. Still managed a few bits though. Need some thoughts on the leather jacket. It is very similar in cut and style to the U-Boat jacket? Problem is it is dark brown not black or grey.

So on with the list and as ever if better pics required jast ask as I'm getting better at it.

    1. Some first war books with good pics.

    2. Small but nice hunting knife made in Solingen.

    3. Some KM diggers in stainless steel.

    4. Desk tidy with inscription.

    5. KM See Sack dated 1941.

    6. Another first aid book, seems I can't go anywhere without getting one.

    7. A kennkarte with a green stripe?

    8. A Foriegners Work book for a Dutchman.

    9. An unusual HJ booklet about Germans close to the borders (Danzig etc).

    To be continued!

    10. A booklet produced for the forces living in Oslo Norway.

    11. K98 bayonet, a bit tired but matching numbers and an unusual maker 'Elite Diamant'?

    12. Two torches.

    13. Leather Jacket?

    14. A thing to be identified with a winding handle?

    15. A ribbon bar.

Off at a tangent a NATO Kossovo medal, a seventies training doc from panzer lehr at Munster and a Kukri from India.

Hi Jock, I have combined your thread to here for you

As usual an interesting and mixed bag!

I am not convinced that the leather jacket has any military connection though? Maybe just a 1950's civvy item?

The desk tidy I do really like. I always like things with plaques on them commemorating service time.

    Cheers, Ade.

Whilst serving I did have a reputation for being a 'skip licker' saying that one mans rubbish etc...

I still had to have it as it fits well, it is really heavy, perhaps it was made by one of the same firms that made the war time jackets, It even has the elasticated cuffs on the inside. I have googled the Jackets and have you seen the price of the copies? Have you any ideas on the green stripe on the Kennkarte?
