It looks like the stuff I tie up cardboard for recycling

These spiders are very common Steve, their webs can be very big too, I've seen them stretched out between trees 5 metres apart! Their webs are really strong too, you can stretch them like elastic. I've seen birds caught in their webs too, that's how tough their webs are. The bird in this pic is a zebra finch, they're not large birds but they are still birds so you can imagine just how strong the webs are.
....and just how big the spiders are.........!
