    Hi

Some where in my family tree apparently one of my relatives ran off and joined the French Foreign Legion. So my question is does any one know where I could find any information about the records regarding the French Foreign Legion.

It has always been a bit of a family mystery.

    Thanks

    Cameron

I don't think it's possible to get information out FFL, especially not if he ran off as you write.

I was about to say theres two hopes, No hope and Bob Hope, the FFL is still a highly restrictive unit when it comes to members details

If he joined under an assumed name, could be nigh on impossible. If his own name and served honourably, maybe. What period are you talking? Perhaps a trip to ther museum outside marseille may be in order. Haven't come across any legion research before. And you can only get a no if you write to them, if you dont write you will never know.
