I am an ancient treasure addict. I also create jewelry out of ancient coins. Pirate era Spanish pieces of eight and other ancient coinage. I love reading about these finds.

    Steve,

This find is truely outstanding. Before i was intrigued by modern warfare collectibles my first love as a young boy was of Greek, Roman and midieval armour. The art and craftsmanship that went into this body protection reflected the person who wore it.

My passion for this is still strong. As a matter of fact i was looking at the helmets of the common Roman soldier just yesterday just to see how much they are cost wise on the open market and to possibly purchase one. But alas, at this time they are out of my price range.

Thank you for showing me these links.

    My best, Ty

Love them too, especialy when it comes to helmets.
Helmets were my first love and .....(yes!!) ....they will be my last! The oldest helmet I had im my primary collection was a 16th century helmet.
Also saw an article lately about a tresure in a Indian temple; I just don't know how to get it in English...maybe one of you guy's know?

This is a silver necklace and earrings using Spanish cobs from the 16th century and cultured pearls.
The second one is made from 18th century reals and Asian Indian ruby drop beads.
