    That was truly beautiful. I've never heard Lili Marlene played via trumpet. Truly touching! Great Video!!!!!!!!!!

    Very heart warming.. I love these stories. Like the story of christmas eve , when the German and Americans left their trenches and sang 'silent night' together. Thanks for posting!

    i think youl find it was BRITISH and german troops who sang carrols NOT the AMERICANS
    it was 1914 the americans haddnt entered the war yet
    ps they played football as well

    Thanks for the responses, folks. I am glad I found it and was able to share it with you.

    I have watched the video and it got me thinking... the vet seems to be wearing U.S. Army-Air Corp insignia, a distinguished flying cross, and obviously he is wearing a hat with a Jabo on it. It doesn't seem like he was a front-line infantryman or anything... Does anyone else find it a little odd that he was exposed to sniper activity?
