    Default Germany wants taxes ....

on the pensions of thousands of Belgian forced laborers from World War II .
The tax is retroactive to 2005!!!!
Belgian forced laborers or their widows have in recent weeks received a letter from a tax office in the German state of Brandenburg, stating that they have to pay taxes (17%). For many, that costs them hundreds of euro's.
The Belgian public finances says she can do nothing for these people. They must address in German to the German government for more explanation.

Do those politicians have no respect at all....!!??

First up, let me stress that I am not saying that the taxation of pensions for forced laborers is acceptable. I personally find it disgraceful, too.

Still, just to keep things clear, it should be noticed that the new taxation from 2005 onwards affects all German pensions.

Here's an article on the taxation of pensions (sorry, German language only): Rentenbesteuerung
