This Officer was already deceased before the Ba 349's first (and only) flight.

It is Helmut Lent and his first kill was in the invasion of Poland when he shot down a PZL P.11.

The first I had in mind was he was the first nachtjagd pilot to obtain 100 kills (102 at night and 13 by day).One of only two to reach this milestone.Heinz Schnaufer was the other.
He was involved in a landing accident on Oct. 5 1944 and passed away 2 days later.A good thing for British heavy bomber crews that's a fact.

You actually forgot to change the file name when you uploaded the picture, mousing over the picture showed the name haha. Have another go since this one gave itself away!
