I will guess they are both Panzer officers.

The guy on the left, though the image is not clearly labelled. Yes, both panzer unit members, and his uniform should give you a clue as to where it was taken and that helps narrow down the possible units he could have belonged to, which is probably how you will find his name, unless someone knows him!
