'Fraid not Nick, the M33 was a prime mover version of the M31 TRV. The crane was removed and it had no turret at all, just a main gun in the sponson and often a .50 cal on a pintle for close defence. You're right about the AA design, but it was never used in that role. Clue: The tank is not an american design, neither was it built there. It was only ever a prototype, so VERY few were built, BUT it did see action late in the war in a different role than it was designed for and was very successsful.
