No sorry the compass was in the V1,s nose,the gyro was in the rear,just under the intake of the ram jet.The compass governed the master gyro.

I don't remember how it worked exactly but they peck at those things in the nose that guide it to the target. I'm amazed it wasn't a British invention, seems typically mad for us to think up
