In memory of my father who was in K-Einsatz, combat engagement, with the RAD in the Alps in 1945, of my grandfather who was with the IR 87 during campaign in France in 1940 and of my grand-uncle who served in the Gardegrenadierregiment Nr. 3 "Königin Elisabeth" and who was killed in action at Craonne, Chemin des Dames in France in 1917

This is a surprise....,but a nice one!Thank you all for your thoughtful, amusing, kind and heartfelt felicitations. I'm humbled that you have all taken the time to respond and join in with Stewy's best wishes to me, and indeed as he says ,we go back a long way here on WRF and it's fair to say he is probably my oldest and dearest friend on the forum, which just goes to show how hard and difficult I find it to make friends.....
