Has anyone been to the Longues sur Mere Battery.....

Article about: ......and seen the horse drawn in the wet cement of a small 'tobruk' emplacement on the perimeter? It is also dated for new years eve 1943 (I think '43, for sure NYE though), so Gefreiter Pi

    ......and seen the horse drawn in the wet cement of a small 'tobruk' emplacement on the perimeter? It is also dated for new years eve 1943 (I think '43, for sure NYE though), so Gefreiter Picasso was probably a little drunk when he had his inspiration

    If you have seen it, no more info is needed, if not, I don't want to ruin it for you before I can get a picture

    Yes been there a couple of yrs ago, we followed all the various sites that were included in the film Longest Day, saw that small tobruk, pretty amusing
