Default Hello Gentlemen - Another "Newbie" alert!

    Hello All,

I'd like to introduce myself - My name is Don, and I'm from Derbyshire in the United Kingdom.
I run a small, imformal Aviation Archaeology Group researching mainly World War Two crash sites, we cover the counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. See here.

I found this Forum via a Search Engine - Looking through the various threads, it is amazing what is still out there, waiting to be found!

On a more sombre note, it is also good to see that MIAs are being found, and brought home. Hopefully some form of closure can be given to their families.

    Best Regards,

    Don

Hi Don, just had a look at your website. Very good.

My parents were both kids during the war and lived in Ruddington. They remember the Wellington crashing at Wilford just up the road.

    Cheers, Ade.

Don , the question: what are you doing with the parts of planes, are they coming to museum or restoring?
What you think to do with the places like lake and crater filled with water. Usually in the hard ground engine comes up to 4 meters down, in the soft is till 12 meters...
Do you work with magnetometer or georadars?
    Regards,
    Dimas
