    Some where, some time , some place, I thought some one mentioned that Hitler sported his mustache to hid a hair lip? Anyone heard of that. I may have read it in one of my books.

    It was posited on that wonderful "ahem" doco series "the world wars" that hitler trimmed his moustache to get a better seal on his gas mask.....he apparently found that the longer tache was part of the reason he got gassed the first time, and he trimmed it so his gas mask would seal better...
    By the way, I thought the series, with all the info available now on uniforms was farcical.....I mean, they showed hitler training for the German army in 1914, with a M1916 helmet......and the WW2 generals he hung around with.....my god was it poorly researched, another subject for another thread I feel...
