if a gun barrel it will be an air rifle can't be gattling gun (minigun) because it fires 7.62x51mm and the barrel looks to small.

Do I see rifling in the photo looking down the end of it? If so, I'll go with a gun barrel of some description too.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
