    I just found this video where 13 people were killed when a Mitchell Bomber was flying in bad fog conditions..and went into the top floors of the Empire State building. Oddly those on the ground were just standing around watching.

    I remember this story. My Dad told me he saw it as a kid. A memory of my Dad forgotten by me, now remembered. Thank you Larry!

    Saves using the lift !!!!!!!

    The pilot actually came originally from the 315th Transport Carrier Group. (Flew C47's to D-Day, Arnhem, Varsity).
