    Hi,
    i found this old pic, thought you might like to see it. It is one of our Batt, guard dogs in gibraltar 1981. The pic is dark as it is on night stag, ( guard ) He is wearing a jumper beret and radio.
    He liked piggy backs to. Have you got any odd pics to show.

    Here are some pics of Wojtek the soldier bear,the Polish are in Italy found him in while they were in the middle east his mother abbandon him so the soldiers decided to take him in.He helped pull over ammuniton during battle.The soldiers even gave him beer and ciggerets time to time and even wrestled with him,One units badge is a round screw back disc with a picture of Wojtek bear carrying a shell.

    Hi 3mk,
    thanks for showing the bear it did grow a bit didnt it, i think it ,s nice to see other sides of the military life. did they keep him long ?
    he made a great mascot.

    They kept him until after the war then they put him in the London Zoo i think.
