    that is a really interesting article and he is probably lucky he did not go to vietnam or he may have been another kia and name on the wall at washington with 58,000 other soldiers who did not return alive.
    i was called up for 2 years from 1969-to 1971 and stayed in australia.from 1970 allied forces were withdrawing from vietnam and handing over the war to the south vietnamese who were finally defeated in 1975.
