dear Steve T,congratulations for the quality of both your treasures and sense of filming.Very interesting work each time.Always a pleasure to dream with you to these vintage years where death was everywhere.By the way,I found pics of an US camp in La Manche ,in France.I attach you the pics and the Google map,may be for your summer holidays...
The field is right in the center of the map.I don't know about possible detection ,may be it has been digged for years.

And another one,dedicated to German weapons.This field is located in Isigny sur mer,Calvados,and is again in the center of the Google map.May be it could be worth trying?
It really would be a pity if nothing still remains there...

Can't wait for this beer!!!!I found wonderful pics on Flickr.com,in the Paris Normandie album,with a very accurate adress.2 minutes of work with Google earth,and it was done.I think these particular fields could be interesting,because of the amazing mess that stood there,wich means lot of lost parts in the ground.But I'm not one of the professional digger as you,Steve T...If my good ole town of Rouen is on your trip in Normandy,give me a mail,I know good beers too!
