Looking for Info on a Chinese 1938 Medal

Hello,

I was hoping someone had any information on a Chinese medal from 1938. I have placed a bid on it as it is in an upcoming auction but I always like to do a bit of digging before hand. Here is what I know:

stamped on back with 1938
Origin is Chinese
from the 8th route army
either a war wound medal or hero medal

I seen some of Chinese medals in Asian supermarkets so I would have it checked since some of them looked really good and old.
