Default the M1 from Elbeuf( second thread)

    hello dear gentlemen!
Now I'm sure that my first thread was boring. No answers with some visits..
May be the question was hard or uninteresting,so I decided to resolve it by myself.(I'm a very little bit disapointed but anyway...)
So for your knowledge,Elbeuf appears to have been liberated by both US and Canadian Army around the 25 and 26th of August.
BY the 2nd US AD in collaboration with the very famous francophone Regiment de la Chaudiere and the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.
My friend was right and this pics tends to proove it.
The main question that remains is :what was the US division?
    The 28th or the 30 rd ???
Because the poor owner of the Helmet was named Jefferson.
I think,as a tribute to him,it could be nice to find his history.
To put a pic on a name.
I hope to have more pics soon, these one are poor, but quite graphic,I think.
Wait for your help, gentlemen.See you soon
