Sorry for the silly question but i dont know if they ever came to blows but in ww2 what would of happend if Germany crept closer to japan or vise versa?

Did they ever liase or speak. I had never heard a discussion about this topic

If Germany had defeated Russia the Anti-Comintern Pact with Japan would be redundant and there would have been a very uneasy alliance imo

Not a silly question at all.

Germany and Japan certainly had a relationship during WW2.

The certainly had common enemies but my no means a common approach.

I think the Germans hoped that the Japanese would attack the Soviet Union, the Japanese however were much more interested in expanding their area of influence in South East Asia and the Pacific.

As far as China was concerned, the Germans provided military assistance before WW2 and had a colonial presence there.

Here are a couple of pics. The japanese ones are believed to be of embassy personell. They have the rising star as a "Volunteer" sleeveshield- So it could very well be Germany had plans for Japan... We will never know.

The other two photos is of Chiang wei Kuo, the son of the chinese Nationalist leader Chiang Kai Shek. Last photo is Kai Shek, with his wife photographed together with US lt Gen Stilwell.
