lined up a few of my soviet helmets today the ssh (stalnoy shlem) evolved over its long lifespan but still a design that stood the test of time also another iconic helmet ,the us m1 ,both genre's saw the best part of 40 years in service ,and finally the polaroid m-44 goggles another design which evolved into the sun wind and dust goggles 026.jpg030.jpg031.jpg032.jpg034.jpg039.jpg046.jpg049.jpg052.jpg
The ALICE pack. Many civilians still use it to this day, including me. I have 2 i use when camping. However i have changed the hip belt to a newer MOLLE II. The Feldmütze too. The basic design is still in use in many countries including Finland as far as i know. I also use this cap in Russia. The felt wool is great for keeping warm, cool when soaked during summer, grabbing hot mess kits, you can drink from it and what not

Thanks bro The gun is "Vepr". High quality fire arm! Is it still possible to buy those German boots? I love old school gear!
Cheers
The good old Lee Enfield gets my vote.
Still in use, not only with various "insurgents" but also some countries armed forces,(and not only for ceremonial duties!)
