50's or 60's I guess, but it sure is in beautiful condition, very nice.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Produced from the late 40s to the 70s, but with the style of box as Jerry said 1950s to 60s!..
Early1960s...I won one of these as a small kid in competition (drawing I think) run by the Daily Mirror.
I collect, therefore I am.
Nothing in science can explain how consciousness arose from matter.
That is cool buddy.
Did these come in a smaller size also? When I was a kid, eons ago, I had a smaller one in Blue color-it shot stick matches, as I recall...

I would agree with the 60's date. I still have mine, and I shot matches with it too and did a few years ago with my eldest Grandson!
Cheers, Ade.

Pristine vintage toy CBH! To be honest, the model resembles the older 4.5 inch howitzer far more than the 25 pounder though.
Got hit in the eye with one of these things as a kid - nearly blinded me. Wore a bandage for 2 weeks and blurry vision for ages after...
so not bringing back many good memories for me, sorry ......... ( nice condition though )
